Eric Decker was born to Susan Meyer and Thomas Charles Decker on 15th March 1987 in Cold Spring, Minnesota. 

His father, Thomas, was a facilities manager and his mother, Susan, supervised the sales division of a glass manufacturing company. He has an elder sister namely Sarah who was also an athlete.  Their parents fell apart when Eric was just in the second grade. However,  Eric enjoyed a sound childhood and never lacked parental support.

After that, he got into another deal for one year with the New England Patriots. But he couldn’t continue that and took retirement from the NFL on 26 August 2018.
